Hiring and developing talent has always been challenging. That’s because we know the least about the most important qualification: their CHARACTER. Use KANNY’s verifiable, confidential peer insights to go beyond skills tests, resumes and reference checks. KANNY Insights can inform hiring and development plans based on real-life first-hand data, and result in reduced turnover and cohesive, high-value teams.

While these resources can be helpful, they are limited as to what they can uncover. And when the candidate provides all the relevant data, recruiters and hiring managers are left to uncover the truth.

KANNY’s verifiable, confidential insights from people with firsthand insights into the candidate’s character add a data set that is outside the candidate’s direct influence.

How does it work

Answer:

Our algorithm analyzes and weighs reviewers’ feedback and circumstances to produce a KANNY Report. For example, a review by a contractor who worked with the candidate nine years ago on a brief six month project would have low impact. Feedback from a direct report on the candidate’s team for the last five years would have high impact. The KANNY Report generates once there are enough verified reviews.

KANNY customers and their teams have access to our database of insights and robust reporting features as part of their recruiting and hiring process.

The process is simple for candidates and reviewers. On average, reviewers spend a few minutes from first click to “Submit”. Once there is enough feedback we will share the candidate’s KANNY Report. The timing varies based on the responsiveness of the verified reviewers. Candidates who share that they are working with KANNY on LinkedIn can shorten the process.

We believe that no one can reliably describe their own WORK CHARACTER – it must be observed by others. People who have worked with candidates are the best source for this unique first-hand feedback. Their anonymous reviews provide the raw data. Our proprietary algorithm analyzes and aggregates it, resulting in a KANNY Report. Yes! KANNY customers can access existing KANNY Reports as part of their subscription.

A KANNY Report is not a static snapshot. As more of the candidate’s colleagues submit feedback, results can and do change. Top performers will use their KANNY Report to grow and improve.

Yes! We believe that KANNY is a tool to help create a better work world for everyone. When both the employer and the candidate have the same information it leads to better hiring decisions. Candidates may view their KANNY Report at no cost.

There are two ways a person can impact their KANNY Report:

  1. ask more peers and colleagues to provide candid feedback; and
  2. act on that feedback to improve their WORK CHARACTER.

Our technology detects and minimizes reviews that are intentionally attempting to bias results.

KANNY is a technology platform. Each employer decides how to use KANNY according to all applicable laws, regulations, and policies.

If a person creates a KANNY account they also own their KANNY Report, just like they own their WORK CHARACTER. They have the option to lock their KANNY Report.
